MILESTONES
1930
HUME PIPE CO. was inaugurated by Australian Hume Group, manufacture spun concrete
pipes.
1965
HUME PIPE CO. was renamed HUME INDUSTRIES (S) LTD.
1982
The Hong Leong Group traded for the company and renamed as HONG LEONG INDUSTRIES
MANUFACTURING LTD (HLIM)
1994
HONG LEONG INDUSTRIES MANUFACTURING LTD took on a new image as HONG LEONG ASIA LTD.
1998
The company was public listed in the main board of the Singapore Stock Exchange.
1999
HONG LEONG ASIA LTD sucessfully branched into Malaysia as HL MANUFACTURING INDUSTRIES
SDN BHD, HLMI (Senai), to support the demands of Singapore precast production.
2008
HONG LEONG ASIA LTD transferred the assets of the business to now what is renowned
as HL BUILDING MATERIALS PTE LTD.
