COMPANY PROFILE
INTRODUCTION
Singapore Cement Manufacturing Co., (Pte) Ltd is jointly owned by Hong Leong Asia
Ltd and Taiheiyo Singapore Pte. Ltd. SCMC started its business in 1958 by importing
and packing of bagged cement. Today, SCMC also provides bulk deliveries via cement
tankers and differentiated cement products targeted for different technical requirements.
SCMC has participated in building today’s Singapore by providing quality towards
both public and private customers over the years. SCMC is the sole distributor for
Japanese ONODA Brand Ordinary Portland Cement in Singapore. SCMC’s cement terminal
has a fully computerised loading and weighing system, an efficient delivery team
and professional staff dedicated to providing the best in quality and service to
its customers.

MILESTONES
1958
SCMC started with import and bagging of cement.
1962
SCMC started with grinding of bulk cement at PSA with a capacity 20,000 MT.
1984
SCMC converted from grinding to bulk cement import.
1995
SCMC new cement terminal project at Jurong Port / Pulau Damar Laut with 50,000MT
storage capacity.
1996
In December, SCMC received 1st ever cement Shipment MV "Trade Master".
2009
Delivered 950,000MT to the Singapore market.

Commissioning of new 24,000MT silo. Total Capacity is at 74,000 MT. SCMC started

QUALITY & SAFETY
Quality
Our Cement products are manufactured in Japan with quality standards. Apart from being quality tested in Japan. The cement that arrived in Singapore are also tested in-house and a third-party provider to ensure that we provide our customers good quality cement. Our In-house weighbridges and testing machinery are calibrated regularly and endorsed by relevant authorities in Singapore.
